For the first time in 170 years, a Sikh is in the White House after winning a tough battleground state in America presidential elections. In the last five years, Sikhs have been able to make their voice heard over the world's most influential politicians and finally gain respect from majority communities. But still there are many who hate them for their brown skin and turbans. Banda Singh Bahadur was one such Sikh leader who led a revolution against oppressors of his community during 18th century India. The film revolves around the life and times of Banda Singh Bahadur and the events that led to his rise to being a popular hero. The film is based on an original screenplay by Kumaar, a story by Gurtej Singh and Nachhatar, 2nd screenplay by Gurtej Singh, which was later reworked into a screenplay by Pankaj Benegal as "Bhool Bhulaiyaa". The film's story was based on the life of Banda Singh Bahadur. Released on 18 October 2010, "Chaar Sahibzaade" opened to mixed reviews from critics. Later, Banda Singh Bahadur, a Sikh warrior, is shown preparing for battle. The plot then shifts to modern times, where a young man named Veer is driving his car through a forested area. In the car are his father, Veeriasar Dhami, who used to be an accomplished wrestler and is now challenged by diabetes; and his mother who was once a renowned singer but has been struggling with cancer. At one point during their drive through the forested area, they get lost. When they stop to ask for directions, two men on a motorcycle see Veeriasar Dhami and mistake him for Banda Singh Bahadur. They challenge him to a fight, which he wins. The men ask Veeriasar Dhami to train their son in wrestling so that the family name will be good again. The Music Was Composed By Raghav Sachar and Released by Speed Records, Venus Music And ADITYA Music Company. Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave the film 3 out of 5 stars saying that "On the whole, "Chaar Sahibzaade" is a well-intentioned effort that hits the right notes. The story has not been told in this manner before and hence, it remains fresh to some extent. Despite its dramatic flaws here and there, the film scores because of its technical finesse, directorial acumen and emotional content." Subhash K. Jha gave it 2 out of 5 stars saying that "It's improbable story telling; if not ridiculous. But it's thrilling nonetheless. cfa1e77820
